Thermage CPT® is a safe, non-invasive procedure used for skin tightening, eyelid lifting, body contouring and diminishing the appearance of cellulite. It is both Health Canada and FDA approved.

Which areas can Thermage CPT® treat?

Thermage CPT can be used on the face, the eyes and all areas of the body:

On the face

• It treats sagging skin, wrinkles and fine lines around the mouth or forehead

For the eye area

What can I expect during my Thermage CPT® treatment?

First your skin will be cleansed with 70% alcohol. Then a grid stencil will be applied to the skin over the area to be treated. This will be removed immediately with alcohol after your treatment. A liquid conducting gel will be applied to your skin and the treatment will start. During your treatment you will feel a series of brief heat sensation as Thermage CPT delivers energy to the deep layers of your skin. This is the feeling of your collagen being stimulated and tightened. Multiple passes will be done.

Expect to be in the clinic from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the size of the areas being treated.

What can I expect after my Thermage CPT treatment?

Thermage CPT® skin tightening and body contouring is a true no downtime procedure. There are no incision, no bleeding, no needles involved. Side effects are typically no more than mild redness and swelling. In rare cases, some patients have experienced blisters, bumps and surface irregularities.

Is this a painful procedure?

Dr. Tosoni is pleased to offer skin tightening treatments with the Thermage CPT® system which is the latest in Thermage technology. CPT stands for Comfort Pulse Technology™. Thermage CPT® uses a vibrating hand piece that provides a faster and more comfortable Thermage procedure, often eliminating the need for any pain medication. For those still wishing to take a mild sedative prior to their treatment, a ride home must be arranged.

When can I return to my normal activities?

Thermage CPT® is a true no downtime procedure. There are no special care needed after a Thermage CPT® treatment and most patients return to their regular activities immediately following their treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Typically, only one treatment session is required per area treated. For some patients however, more than one treatment session is desired to achieve optimal results.

When will I see some results?

With Thermage CPT®, immediate subtle tightening is seen but results continue to improve for the six months following the treatment. During the first month that follows your treatment, contraction of collagen and elastic tissue will start creating a firmer looking skin. Over the next 6 months, new collagen and elastic tissue will form, causing further gradual improvement.

How long will the results last for?

The effects of Thermage CPT® typically last 2-3 years. Your own natural aging process, skin condition, weight fluctuations and general health will affect the duration of the effects. Thermage CPT® treatment can be safely repeated at any time as a maintenance treatment over the years.
