[ Back to top ] How does the Vitalize Peel works?The Vitalize Peel employees a strong yet gentle to the skin formulation combining a unique blend of peeling agents such as 0.3% retinoic acid (obtained by physicians only), alpha-hydroxy acid (lactic acid), Beta-hydroxy acid (salicylic acid) and resorcinol. This safe combination of acids causes a chemical exfoliation of the outer layer of the skin also known as the epidermis. It is very tolerable and requires no pre-medication. During the treatment, clients may experience a mild tingling sensation. This mild windburn feeling may persist after the peel for one to three days. The skin will also have a light yellowish hue when leaving the office which will gradually disappear over the next hours or so. Clients can return to their normal activities immediately after your Vitalize Peel. Clients will likely have mild to moderate peeling of the skin one to three days after your procedure. You should avoid strenuous exercise for two to three days as perspiration may irritate the skin. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and avoid scrubbing. [ Back to top ] When can I resume my normal skin care routine after receiving a Vitalize Peel?You can resume your normal skin care regime once all the peeling process is completed, including any product with retinols, AHA products, Vitamin C or bleaching creams.
